The captain won his 170th cap for Spain in the meeting with Romania, bringing himself level with Egypt's Hossam Hassan.
Sergio Ramos continues to etch his name into the history books as the Real Madrid and Spain skipper earned his 170th cap in the encounter against Romania. After becoming Spain's most-capped player on 12 October, Ramos has now pulled level with Egypt's Hossam Hassan in seventh spot in the rankings for the player with the most international caps to their name.

The madridista defender now lies just 14 games short of Egypt's Ahmed Hassan, who holds the record for the number of international caps (184). Since making his debut for Spain on 26 March 2005, in a 3-0 triumph over China, Ramos has played his part in 126 wins and has netted 21 times. He has also played a starring role in Spain's successes and has lifted the World Cup and the European Championship.
