Which Los Angeles Chargers players were good this year?

It’s the season of giving; at least, so long as you’ve been good this year. Which Chargers deserve something special for their work this season?

The holiday season is in full swing, and those who were good this year are set to be beneficiaries of some great gifts. Let’s forget about those who deserve coal; for now, here are a few players (there are others not listed who deserve recognition as well) who should get something nice:
Chargers: Austin Ekeler

Almost 1,500 total yards for the former undrafted free agent, with one game to go. No. 30 needs just 50 receiving yards to break 1,000 on the season, which would be a monumental achievement rarely seen by running backs throughout NFL history.

Ekeler has become one of the Chargers’ five or so fan-favorites, endearing himself to die-hards, casual fans, and fantasy football league owners alike. There’s nothing better than a player who produces on the field, is respectful off the field, never complains, and still works harder every week to get better. He’s about as deserving of a fat contract as anyone else on the team.
Chargers: Keenan Allen

Three straight years with over 1,000 receiving yards; oh, and three straight Pro-Bowl appearances to go along with it. Allen is as consistent as consistent could be, with thoughts of him being injury-prone a seemingly distant memory.

No. 13 is one of the few players fans can proudly watch on a weekly basis. While effort is visibly lacking from some players in a lost season, Allen continues to work to earn every bit of his contract.
